    25-Hydroxytachysterol3 is a metabolite of Vitamin D3 that inhibits the proliferation of epidermal keratinocytes and dermal fibroblasts while promoting the differentiation of keratinocytes and the expression of antioxidant-related genes. It activates receptors including the vitamin D receptor (VDR), aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), liver X receptor alpha/beta (LXRalpha/beta), and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma), and enhances the expression of CYP24A1.
