5-Hydroxycytidine is the RNA modified nucleoside that can be found in the 23S rRNA of bacteria E. coli . 5-Hydroxycytidine modifies at the C2501 site, exhibits a higher modification level in stationary cells. 5-Hydroxycytidine exhibits a higher modification level in radiation resistant Radius than in E. coli [1] .
