ALDH (Aldehyde dehydrogenase (NAD(P))) catalyzes the oxidation of aldehydes into their corresponding carboxylic acids with the concomitant reduction of the cofactor NAD(P) into NAD(P)H, is often used in biochemical studies. The ALDHs are one of many enzyme systems the body utilizes to alleviate aldehyde stress [1] .
