This antibody has been used to specifically bind alphavbeta8 in Western blots and flow cytometry and to specifically stain alphavbeta8 integrins in FFPE (formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded) or TMA material, where murine antibodies function poorly (Goodman et al., 2012; PMID: 23213423) (Roth et al., 2013; PMID: 23378223) (Hebeta et al., 2014; PMID: 25305804). alphavbeta8 is weakly expressed in human tumor specimens and non-small-cell lung carcinoma, with some expression in ovarian carcinoma and melanoma cells.
