This antibody recognises bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) which is an analogue of thymidine.

Bu20a works well in immunohistochemistry to identify cells in tissue sections or cytospin preparations that have incorporated BrdU. It is also useful to identify cells in S phase during FACS analysis.

This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
