The antibody is specific for MCP-1. The antibody cross-reacts with recombinant human eotaxin-1.

The specificity of the original format of the antibody for CCL2 was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The antibody was able to inhibit the binding of MCP-1 to its receptor. Further, it was able to inhibit the binding of eotaxin-1 to its receptor (CN100486996C).
