  • Antibody Specificity
EDU-2 (B486) recognizes CD4, which is a membrane glycoprotein of T lymphocytes that interacts with major histocompatibility complex class II antigenes and is also a receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus.
  • Application Supplier Note
This antibody is recommended for the detection of CD4 via immunofluorescence and flow cytometry. For instace, one group utilized EDU-2 antibody to identify CD4-posotive cells via a modified flow cytometric assay in order to develop efficient and cost-effective method for HIV infection monitoring (Barbesti et al., 2005). Furthermore, EDU-2 antibody was also used to differentiate between different subsets of dendritic cells (Maniecki et al., 2006).
