- Antibody SpecificityThis antibody binds human CD7. CD7 is expressed on the majority of immature and mature T-lymphocytes, and T cell leukemia. It is also found on natural killer cells, a small subpopulation of normal B cells and on malignant B cells. CD7 is useful in the ide
- Application Supplier NoteThis antibody is capable of recognizing CD7 antigen present on various T cell lines like n HSB-2, HPB-MLT, MOLT-4, CEM, and TALL-1. This antibody also bound a majority (85%) of human PB E-rosette-positive cells. Immunoprecipitation of an HSB-2 extract with this antibody yielded one specific band with a molecular weight of approximately 40,000 in the presence of reducing agent (PMID: 6156457). This antibody was also used in the development of a cell ELISA to monitor the PHA-induced expression of the CD7 antigen in fixed mononuclear leukocytes (PMID: 3492562). This antibody was also used in combination with another anti-CD7 antibody mab 69 of development of a sandwich ELISA for detection of solubilized CD7 antigen (PMID: 2464646). This antibody was used in a study relating to identifying CD7 as target structure for T-cell imaging. Noninvasive CD7 immuno-imaging is a promising strategy to track T-cell responses in the context of diverse immunotherapies in vivo with additional theragnostic potential in T-cell-mediated diseases (PMID: 30613283).
