Overview
- SupplierAbsolute Antibody
- Product NameAnti-Cn2 toxin [6009F]
- Delivery Days Customer9
- Antibody SpecificityThis antibody binds the mammal-specific Cn2 toxin found in the venom produced by Centruroides noxius Hoffmann (Mexican scorpion). This antibody binds an epitope on the Cn2 toxin that is different from the binding epitope of another anti-Cn2 toxin antibody
- Application Supplier NoteThe binding specificity and characterization of this antibody towards Cn2 toxin of scorpion Centruroicles noxius was tested using ELISA. The epitope mapping of this antibody was performed using competitive ELISA. The scFv version of this antibody binds Cn2 toxin with an affinity of 410pM and capable of neutralizing 2 LD50 of Cn2 toxin when a 1 : 10 molar ratio of toxin-to-antibody fragment was used. It was also able to neutralize 2 LD50 of the whole venom (PMID: 15885107; US7381802). ELISA was also used to determine the cross- reactivity of this antibody towards other toxins like Cn3, Css2, and Css4 (PMID: 21156801).
