ZV-48 binds to the Zika virus envelope protein at domain III (DIII, C-C loop). No cross-reactivity with other tested flaviviruses has been reported.

The original mouse IgG2c format has been shown to have neutralizing activity and has been used to label ZIKV infected cells (4% PFA fixation, 0.1% saponin permeabilization).
