This antibody recognises domain I and II of the envelope (E) protein of DENV4 only, shown by ELISA and Western blot.

DV22 has been used in cell-based assays and was shown to exhibit neutralisation and antibody-dependent enhancing activity using Vero and K562 cells (Beltramello et al, 2010). This antibody has also been characterised as EDI/II-specific by ELISA and Western blot. When generated as a LALA variant and supplied as a cocktail with two other anti-DENV mAbs, DV22 showed a complete lack of antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) activity, whilst retaining the ability to neutralise DENV infection.
