This antibody is specific for the ligand binding site on domain III of the extracellular domain of human EGFR, overlapping with the epitope of cetuximab.

The binding of the original version of this antibody (VHH) to EGFR was characterized in an SPR (KD 0.012 nM), ELISA, (EC50 of 71.0 nM), and FACS (EC50 of 0.79 nM). In its bi-specific construction with Ab04388 (Anti-CEACAM5 [NbCEA5]), it served a functional role (US20220242958).
