  • Antibody Specificity
This antibody is specific for EPHA3.
  • Application Supplier Note
This antibody is a humanized affinity improved version of the original mouse parental antibody IIIA4. The binding affinity of this antibody for EphA3 antigen was determined by ELISA. Flow cytometry was performed with this antibody on cells from patients with multiple myeloma (US20110243934). In the xenograft model of leukemia the antibody directly affects the tumor cells with no effect on stromal and vascular elements. In human tumor xenografts of prostate cell line DU-145 in nude mice, FA225-C10 antibody produced a significant inhibition of tumor growth. In this model the tumor cells do not express EphA3 but the tumor stroma and neovasculature express EphA3 and treatment with antibody reduced both tumor stroma and new vessel density (Charmsaz et al., 2014).
