This antibody was capable of recognizing attenuated gintexin A of Gloydius intermedius and a fusion protein containing gintexin A in a western blot assay. The binding affinity of this antibody for gintexin A was determined using ELISA. 100 microg this antibody can neutralize at least 2xLD50 of Agkistrodon venom. In vivo, the neutralizing activity of this antibody is reported to be about 21.1 LD50/mg. The sensitivity of HRP-N20 antibody for immunospot detection of Agkistrodon intermedius venom is 12.5 ng/mL.
