  • Application Supplier Note
The original antibody was used for an in vivo neutralization assay. In short mice were treated with this antibody either pre infection and hamsters were treated post infection. With higher doses all mice survived and all hamster receiving the antibody within 24 hours after infection survived (Dietzschold et al., 1990; PMID:2335829, Dietzschold et al., 1992; PMID:1496020, Schumacher et al., 1989; PMID:2760222). The antibody was used for an ELISA on rabies virus glycoprotein. The structure of this antibody was determined using x-ray crystallography. Further this antibody showed the ability to block syncytia formation. The antibody was also used for an in vitro neutralization assay on rabies virus and BHK-21 cells (Yang et al., 2020; PMID:32004500), and on rabies virus and NA cells (Dietzschold et al., 1992; PMID:1496020). This antibody was used for immunofluorescence on Adrab.gp recombinant virus expressing the rabies G protein (Xiang et al., 1996; PMID:8623532).
