This antibody recognises IFN-gammaRalpha, which is a class II cytokine receptor family member that serves as a IFN-gamma-binding chain associated with the IFN-gamma beta.

This antibody is recomended as an efficient blocking agent for the interferon gamma receptor (Basu et al. 1988). It has been also used in the flow cytometric analyses of this receptor protein.
