  • Antibody Specificity
This antibody binds mouse Interleukin-1 beta, which is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine. Initially discovered as the major endogenous pyrogen, induces prostaglandin synthesis, neutrophil influx and activation, T-cell activation and cytokine production,
  • Application Supplier Note
The original mouse IgG antibody binds mouse IL-1B with a binding affinity of Kd= 0.23 nM. The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. In vitro antibody potency was determined by its ability to inhibit IL-8 production by MRC-5 cells. This antibody was able to inhibit IL-8 production by MRC-5 cells with an IC50 of 3.70E-10M. This antibody was used in combination with 9H10 (anti- mouse IL-1A) antibody for the generation of anti-mouse IL-1alpha/beta DVD-Ig molecule (US7612181).
