This antibody reacts with the capsid protein VP1 of the Norovirus. Norovirus (NoVs) is one of the main pathogens causing sporadic cases and large outbreaks of acute gastroenteritis, and norovirus can infect people of all ages.

The binding characterization of this antibody for Norovirus GII.4 was done using ELISA. This antibody does not cross react with GI.1 virus-like particle in an ELISA. This antibody is capable of neutralizing Norovirus GII.4. This antibody is recommended for sensitive detection and analysis of Norovirus GII.4 (WO2016173558).
