The antibody binds the N protein of PEDV, which is associated with viral replication, transcription and assembly.

The specificity of this antibody (VHH) was confirmed by ELISA analysis. Langmiur model and sensorgrams data were used for kinetic analysis of PEDV N protein and Nb1. The Ka value measured was 1.97x10^5 M-1 s-1, indicating a fast association constant. The Ka/Kd value, the equilibrium dissociation constant between Nb1 and PEDV N protein, reached up to 0.96x10^8 M (Ma et al, 2019; pmid:31526383).
