Overview
- SupplierAbsolute Antibody
- Product NameAnti-Pharynx [KT22]
- Delivery Days Customer7
- Antibody SpecificityThis antibody recognized the apical side of the pharynx of Caenorhabditis elegans. Caenorhabditis elegans is a transparent nematode that lives in temperate soil environments.
- Application Supplier NoteThis antibody was used for the staining of the apical region of the pharynx of Caenorhabditis elegans. The KT22 signal was detectable in the twofold embryo as a single line from the buccal cavity to the end of isthmus; at the pretzel stage, the KT22 stained three lines from the buccal cavity to the anterior isthmus, which appeared to merge into a single line in the posterior isthmus region. No KT22 signal was detected in the terminal bulb and pharyngeal-intestinal valve (PMID: 18498356).

- Scientific DescriptionThis chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgM format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
- ReactivityC. Elegans
- Reactivity SupplierCaenorhabditis elegans
- Reactivity Supplier NoteThe original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with subtracted embryonic extract. Subtracted extracts were prepared by using a method called “antigen subtraction” which enriched antigens of low abundance in heterogeneous molecule mixtures by subtracting abundant antigens.
