- Antibody SpecificityThe antibody binds specifically the S2 subunit of the MERS-CoV spike protein. It shows no cross-reactivity to spike protein of SARS-CoV.
- Application Supplier NoteThe specificity of this antibody (Fab) was confirmed by ELISA analysis. Immunofluorescence was performed on Vero cells using this antibody (IgG). The binding affinity of the IgG antibody towards MERS-S2P was found to be Kd= 170 pM using surface plasmon resonance. The antibody (IgG) was used as a capture antibody in sandwich ELISA (Kim et al, 2019; pmid: 31544848).
