This antibody specifically binds the amino acids 318-510 in the S1 domain of the SARS-CoV Spike protein. The originally characterized human IgG1 had a binding affinity of KD=4.05 (+/-1.01) nM.

This antibody is a SARS-CoV neutralizing antibody. Applications include ELISA, Western blotting, Immunofluorescence (Berry et al, 2004).
