This antibody recognises an epitope in the membrane most distal domain (D1) of SIRP alpha. It crossreacts with other SIRPs.

SAF10.1, can be used to detect SIRPs in a wide variety of tissues and cell types. For instance, this antibody was successfully used to detect SIRPs from COS7.2 cell lysates via Western blot (Lee et al., 2008).
