This antibody binds soluble form of human ST2 which is a member of the interleukin (IL)-1 receptor family. IL-33 is the ligand for ST2, which is involved in reducing fibrosis and hypertrophy in mechanically strained tissues. In in vitro and in vivo models

The original IgG antibody binds human ST2 recombinant protein with a binding affinity of Kd= 0.5 X 10^(-10)M. This antibody was used as a capture antibody in combination with HRP labelled D12 as detection antibody for the development of a double-antibody sandwich ELISA for detection of soluble ST2 in blood samples (CN117024595).
