- Application Supplier NoteThis clone can be used for the detection of BK virus in a sample via ELISA. This clone is derived from P165E2 and has ~3-fold greater affinity and ~8-fold more potent activity (EC90) on serotype II, ~10-fold greater affinity for serotype IV than the parental clone. The parental clone P165E2, binds all four serotypes of BKV but cannot recognize denatured VP1 in western blot. Binding of the antibody is affected with mutations F66A, I145A, K69A and E82A in the VP1 protein (US9862760).
