This antibody binds human chitinase-3-like protein 1 also known as CHI3L1 or YKL-40. This molecule lacks chitinase activity due to mutations within the active site.

The blocking effect of this antibody in the serum of patients with liver cancer lung metastasis was determined using ELISA. This antibody is capable of reducing the serum YKL-40 concentration in patients with lung cancer (CN112375147)
