The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of a new 2- (quinoline-4-methoxy) acetamide antituberculotic agent against the reference strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv was as low as 0.3 micro M. It also inhibited the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the macrophage model of tuberculosis infection.
