beta-Cateninmodulator-7 (Compound 5) acts as a regulator of beta-catenin. It suppresses the expression of beta-catenin in both the cytoplasm and nucleus of HCT-116 cells and inhibits the phosphorylation of GSK 3beta. Additionally, beta-Cateninmodulator-7 facilitates the release of NO in HCT-116 cells and inhibits the proliferation of these cancer cells, with an IC50 value of 0.6-0.9 microM. This compound is utilized in research related to colon cancer.
