Capreomycin sulfate is a macrocyclic peptide antibiotic that inhibits phenylalanine synthesis in mycobacterial ribosomal translation. Capreomycin sulfate has anti-amyloidogenic and pro-fibrinolytic activities, reducing amyloid-induced cytotoxicity by inhibiting the occurrence of amyloid fibrillation.
