- Scientific DescriptionRabbit polyclonal to CCR7.C-C chemokine receptor type 7 (CCR7) is a receptor for the MIP-3-beta chemokine and belongs tothe G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. CCR7 was identified as a gene induced by the Epstein-Barrvirus (EBV) and is a probable mediator of EBV effects on B-lymphocytes as well as of normallymphocyte functions. CCR7 is expressed in various lymphoid tissues and activates B and Tlymphocytes. It has been shown to control the migration of memory T cells to inflamed tissues, as wellas to stimulate dendritic cell maturation. CCR7 is strongly up-regulated in B-cells infected withEpstein-Barr virus and T-cells infected with herpesvirus 6 or 7.
