The Human iPSC-derived Mixed Cortical Neurons from This BrainXell provide CNS researchers a highly pure and relevant human cell model for studying cortical neurons. The Mixed Cortical Neurons are >90% neurons and comprise glutamatergic and GABAergic neurons at an 80:20 ratio (similar to excitatory and inhibitory ratios found in vivo). Within 1 week in culture, neurons exhibit substantial neurite outgrowth and begin to show neuronal activity. Each vial of cryopreserved neurons contains 5 million viable cells.
