The fluorescent immunoconjugate to human C5 is used to determine the presence and pattern using immunohistochemical staining techniques. Determinations of individual C components can be very useful in defining the exact location of a defect. This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labeled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal. Working dilutions are usually between 1:10 and 1:40. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested..
