DMEM, or Dulbeccos Modified Eagle Medium, is basal medium widely used for the growth of many mammalian cells, such as primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, smooth muscle cells, HeLa, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12 cell lines. This formulation contains high glucose.
