  • Scientific Description
    Gaboxadol hydrochloride (Lu 02-030 hydrochloride) is a potent agonist of the GABA A receptor and an antagonist of GABA C receptors ( IC 50 =25 microM). Gaboxadol hydrochloride displays a partial agonist efficacy on subunit alpha1beta2gamma2 with an ED 50 value of 143 microM, a full agonist efficacy at alpha5 subunit ( ED 50 =28-129 microM) and a superagonist efficacy at alpha4beta3delta ( ED 50 =6 microM). Gaboxadol hydrochloride is a non-opioid agent [1] [2] .
