GSK_WRN3 is a selective inhibitor of WRN protease ( pIC 50 = 8.6). GSK_WRN3 displays a high degree of selectivity by forming a covalent binding to the Cys727 residue of the WRN protein. GSK_WRN3 reduces growth support for MSI tumor cells by inhibiting WRN protease activity, resulting in increased DNA double-strand breaks and cell growth inhibition [1] .
