    HA1/Hemagglutinin Protein, binding to cell surface receptors, facilitates virus attachment. It leads to internalization via endocytosis. HA1 determines host range and virulence, mediating fusion of virus and endosomal membrane. Low pH triggers HA2 conformational change, releasing fusion peptide. Multiple HA trimers form fusion pore.
