There is no need to add porcine follicular fluid. HP-POM is a high-performance medium that added TGF-alpha to POM (#CK021) and is a serum-free basic medium for porcine oocyte maturation. Although the rate of oocyte maturation in this medium is almost at equal as POM, the increased rate of embryonic development after in vitro fertilization (the blastocyst formation) is reported ##1)###. This medium is sterilized and effectively supports porcine oocyte maturation under a low oxygen condition (5%O$$2$$$/5%CO$$2$$$/90%N$$2$$$, 39°C). Note: Please add 10 IU /mL equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) + 10 IU / ml human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) to HP-POM medium during porcine oocyte maturation culture. There is no need to add porcine follicular fluid. HP-POM medium is for research use only. Do not use in animals, humans, or diagnostic procedures.
