FOLR3 (Folate Receptor 3) is a member of the folate receptor family that plays a role in the transport of folic acid and its derivatives. It is a secretory protein that is not membrane-bound and is thought to enhance the bioavailability of folic acid, which in turn can reduce plasma homocysteine (Hcy) levels.
