HMGB2 is expressed 25 kDa containing 209 amino acid residues. The function of HMGB2 is involved in transcription, chromatin remodeling and V(D)J recombination. In vitro studies have demonstrated that this protein is able to efficiently bend DNA and form DNA circles .
