hVEGF-IN-1, a quinazoline derivative, specifically binds to the G-rich sequence in the internal ribosome entry site A (IRES-A) with a Kd of 0.928 microM, therefore destabilizes the G-quadruplex structure, also hinders tumor cells migration and represses tumor growth by decreasing VEGF-A protein expression.
