    Rabbit polyclonal to IL5.Interleukin 5 (IL5) is a cytokine that acts as a growth and differentiation factor for B cells andeosinophils. It is the primary regulator of eosinopoiesis as well as eosinophil maturation andactivation. Elevated levels of IL5 are linked to asthma and hypereosinophilic syndromes. Thereceptor for IL5 is composed of a heterodimer, with the beta subunit capable of also binding to IL3and colony stimulating factor 2.
