Luciferase-IN-3 (compound 5h) serves as an ATP-dependent luciferase inhibitor, specifically targeting the primary light-emitting enzyme found in fireflies and kowtow bugs (Firefly luciferase). Compared to its efficacy against P. pyralis luciferase, where it exhibits an inhibitory concentration (IC 50) of 3.2 microM, it shows negligible inhibitory effects on R. reniformis luciferase.
