    The secreted recombinant mouse MANF comprises 169 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 19.6 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the recombinant protein is approximately 21 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. A DNA sequence encoding the mouse MANF (NP_083379.2) (Met 1-Leu 179) was expressed, with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.
