    The secreted recombinant mouse SLAMF8 consists of 222 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 24.8 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rmSLAMF8 is approximately 33-38 kDa due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the mouse SLAMF8 (NP_083360.2) extracellular domain (Met 1-Asp 231) was fused with the a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
