    The secreted recombinant mouse TIMP1 consists of 181 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 21 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 30 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. A DNA sequence encoding the mouse TIMP1 (NP_035723.2) (Met 1-Arg 205) was expressed, with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.
