PTBP1 antibody detects PTBP1 protein at nucleus by immunohistochemical analysis. Sample: Paraffin-embedded mouse brain. PTBP1 stained by PTBP1 antibody (GTX101481) diluted at 1:500. The signal was developed by OneStep Polymer HRP anti-rabbit (Ready-to-Use) (left), VECTASTAINR ABC-HRP Kits (middle), and conventional secondary antibody (right). Antigen Retrieval: Citrate buffer, pH 6.0, 15 min

  • Scientific Description
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is the localization of antigens in tissue sections/cells using antibodies as specific reagents. Visualization of antibody signal is often significantly improved using the biotin-avidin amplification system. This system, however, adds significant time to experimental protocols and results in higher background due to the presence of endogenous biotin in tissue.GeneTexs One-Step anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) uses the power of next-generation Polymer technology to provide dramatic signal amplification without the need for biotin. This reagent has been shown to provide increased sensitivity and detection, while reducing the incubation time and required quantity of primary antibody. This reagent can be used to enhance staining of membranes, cytoplasmic and nuclear antigens. It provides the user with a rapid and easy to use IHC detection system.Features and Benefits- Lower background: Amplification without biotin avoids background from endogenous biotin- Higher sensitivity than standard IHC detection- Faster: Staining time reduced to 15 minutes! - Compatible with either manual or automated systems- Better results on difficult-to-work antibodies and nuclear staining- Save cost due to further dilution of primary antibody
