Pdpe 1.3 is a peptide inhibitor, The main activity is to destroy the direct interaction between alpha-synuclein and CHarged Multivesicular body Protein 2B ( CHMP2B ). By interfering with this interaction, PDpep1.3 restores the degradation function of the endocytosomes and lysosomes, thereby reducing alpha-synuclein levels and protecting dopaminergic neurons from alpha-synuclein mediated degradation. Pdpe 1.3 can be used in the study of neurodegenerative diseases and protein-protein interactions [1] .
