Anti-diabetic , decreasing insulin resistance in adipose tissue. Is about one tenth as potent as rosiglitazone. Lipid metabolism modulator. Estrogen synthesis inhibitor. NF-kappaB inhibitor. Neuroprotective. - Thiazolidinedione (TZD) reference compound [2, 3]. Selective PPARgamma agonist. Selectively activates PPARgamma-1 [1, 3].
