Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is the localization of antigens in tissue sections/cells using antibodies as specific reagents. Visualization of antibody signal is often significantly improved using the biotin-avidin amplification system. This system, however, adds significant time to experimental protocols and results in higher background due to the presence of endogenous biotin in tissue.GeneTexs PolymerPlus anti-mouse/rat/rabbit IgG (H+L) uses the power of next-generation Polymer technology to provide dramatic signal amplification without the need for biotin. This two-step kit has been specially designed to provide enhanced detection of low abundance antigens. It has a sensitivity superior to that of the biotin-avidin system. It has been shown to provide increased sensitivity and detection, while reducing the incubation time and required quantity of primary antibody. This reagent can be used to enhance staining of membranes, cytoplasmic and nuclear antigens. It provides the user with a rapid and easy to use IHC detection system.Features and Benefits- Highest possible sensitivity for IHC detection- Specially designed for low abundant antigens- Lower background: Amplification without biotin avoids background from endogenous biotin- Faster: Staining time reduced to 20 minutes! - Compatible with either manual or automated systems- Better results on difficult-to-work antibodies and nuclear staining- Save cost due to further dilution of primary antibody
