Pyruvate Oxidase, Microorganisms (PoxB) is a thiamine pyrophosphate-dependent oxidase that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate to acetyl phosphate, carbon dioxide and water. Pyruvate oxidase is an important enzyme in bacterial metabolism and is often used in biochemical research [1] .
